In
honor of Tommy Hilfiger partnering with the Whitney
Museum of American Art as the fashion sponsor of 2010, the Whitney Biennial, Tommy Hilfiger
hosted the first official opening night after party at the Tommy Hilfiger
Fifth Avenue Global Flagship on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, to celebrate
the Biennial artists. Guests included: Rosario Dawson,
Bob Colacello, Adam D. Weinberg, director of the Whitney and Ari
Marcopoulos.
The evening
also celebrated the debut of a limited-edition tote featuring imagery
by Biennial Artist Ari Marcopoulos. The tote is now available at the
Whitney and US Tommy Hilfiger specialty stores for $98 retail, with 50%
of proceeds benefiting the Whitney Museum. Tommy Hilfiger will also underwrite
admission to the Whitney Biennial on Saturday, February 27, 2010 for
the first 1,000 visitors to the Tommy Hilfiger Fifth Avenue store between
February 25th and 27th and ask about the Biennial, details for which
will be available on tommy.com. They can also enter for the chance to
win a private tour of the Biennial with a Whitney Museum curator and
a $500 Tommy Hilfiger gift card.
The Whitney Biennial, 2010, open to
the public on Thursday, February 25, remains on view at the Whitney Museum,
945 Madison Avenue at 75th Street, through May 30, 2010.
