On
Sunday, August 30, 2009, the Ross School held its Grand Slam Winners
Tennis Exhibition Match honoring Andre Agassi.
Grand slam winners Murphy
Jensen, host of Tennis Channel's “Open Access,” Rennae
Stubbs, Petr Korda and Ross tennis pro Alejandro Tejerina played in a
special doubles exhibition match. Agassi was on hand to oversee the competition.
The exhibition match was followed by doubles play with Hamptons celebrities,
including Alec Baldwin Christie Brinkley, Michael Gelman and Luann DeLesseps
who competed against the tennis professionals. Ross School also presented
Agassi with an award, recognizing his extraordinary work as a humanitarian,
and providing him with a lifetime membership in the Founder's Circle
at Ross.
The silent auction raised more than $20,000. All proceeds will
benefit Ross School scholarships and programs.
