On
April 6, 2009, Partnership with Children held its 2009 Spring Celebration
at The Pierre in New York City. The evening honored Joel I. Klein,
New York City Schools Chancellor with the Partnership with Children
Leadership Award and Beth Comstock, Senior Vice President and Chief
Marketing Officer, GE with the Ann Vanderbilt Award for Achievement.
Partnership with Children, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization,
celebrates 101 years of service to New York City children and families
in need. Through Partnership with Children's unique school-based
program, Open Heart – Open Mind, we reach over 12,000 students
each year whose life circumstances put them at risk for academic failure. Our
teams of professional social workers are integrated seamlessly into
school communities to provide comprehensive early intervention, preventive
services and counseling to those children who need it most. Our
mission is to strengthen the emotional, social and cognitive skills
of at-risk children so that they can succeed in school, in society
and in their lives.
