Thursday, October 22, 2009, Derek Lam and Vanessa Getty hosted a tea
at Saks Fifth Avenue San Francisco to benefit the Orangutan Foundation
International.
Tod’s Creative Director Derek Lam walked guests
through the new Fall/Winter 2010 Collection and shared his inspirations
and favorite pieces for the season – which was on display for an
exclusive trunk show. A special limited edition evening bag collection
as well as ready-to-wear pieces, which has not been previously available
in the San Francisco market were flown in from Milan for the occasion.
Guests included Sloan Barnett, Lindsay Bolton, Karen Caldwell, Angelique
Griepp, Kate Harbin, Connie Nielsen, Yurie Pascarella, Elizabeth Touw,
Katie Traina, Summer Walker, among others.
The mission of the Orangutan Foundation International is to support the conservation and understanding of the orangutan and its rain forest habitat while caring for ex-captive individuals as they make their way back to the forest.
