On
Wednesday, October 22, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell
Medical Center hosted their 2008 Cabaret Benefit at the World Financial
Center Winter Garden, 220 Vesey Street. The highlight of the evening
was a stand-up performance by comedian Jon Stewart. The benefit raised
a record-breaking $2.8 million to support the work of the medical
center in patient care, research and medical education.
Guests included event chair Charlotte Ford, honorary
co-chairs Lisa Pery and Richard Perry, Stacy Rosenwaks
and Zev Rosenwaks, M.D., along with event committee Stephanie
Coleman and Chase Coleman, Shoshanna Gruss and Josh Gruss, Julia
Koch and David Koch, Patricia Yarberry Allen, M.D. and Douglas McIntyre,
and Pamela Lipkin, M.D. and Bruce Ratner. Others attendees
were NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital's president and CEO Dr.
Herbert Pardes; and Weill Cornell Medical College Dean Dr. Antonio
M. Gotto and his wife, Anita Gotto, Dr.
Steven J. Corwin and Nancy Wexler, M.D.
