The
Museum of Modern Art held its 41st annual Party in the Garden on May
26, 2009 at the Museum's Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden.
Paula and James Crown, Jill and Peter Kraus, Mimi Haas, and Ninah and
Michael Lynne were event co-chairs. Jerry I. Speyer, Marie-Josée
Kravis, Agnes Gund, and Jo-Carole Lauder were honorary co-chairs.
MoMA honored the artists featured over the past year in solo exhibitions
or installations at The Museum of Modern Art and P.S.1. The After-Dinner
Dance featured a set from the acclaimed DJ Cassidy, followed by a live
music performance from the Grammy-winning artist Estelle.

Agnes Gund, Kelis,
Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg, Marie-Josée and Henry
Kravis, Richard Meier, Dania Ramirez David Rockefeller, Justin Rockefeller,

Artists attending included: Ramin Bahrani, Yael Bartana, Leandro Erlich,
Paul Graham, Jonathan Horowitz, Ken Jacobs, George Lois, Brice Marden,
Aernout Mik, Jack Shear, Florian Slotawa, and Dan Wood.
The Party in the Garden benefits The Annual Fund of The Museum of
Modern Art and the maintenance of The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture
Garden. The party also benefits the Museum's general operating
fund, helping to make possible the Museum's educational programs and
the care, study, and exhibition of its collection.
