As
a prelude to its yearlong 50th Anniversary celebration beginning
in May 2009, Lincoln Center celebrated with a night of special private
dinners hosted by more than 50 New York civic leaders on December
8, 2008. The dinners, held simultaneously across the city,
preceded the first performance in the newly revitalized Alice Tully
Hall, which is scheduled to open to the public with a two-week festival
beginning February 22, 2009. The performance by Michael Feinstein
was followed by a dessert reception.
Cheryl Milstein and Philip Milstein were Dinner chairs. Guests included:
Tom Brokaw and Meredith Brokaw, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, Zac
Posen, Jessye Norman, Roland Betts and Lois Betts, Mario Cuomo and
