The
Annual Award Dinner of the Harvard Club of Chicago was held on Saturday,
March 7, 2009, at the Mid-America Club, Chicago. The Dinner, the Club's
only yearly fund raiser, is the principal source of scholarship and
community service funds for Chicago area students.

rendered extraordinary service to the community in fields other than
his/her professional endeavors. The 2009 honoree was Harrison

the dissolution of ignorance and that they remind us that culture is
always living culture, always changing the way we see the
world.
A Patrons' Reception preceded the dinner when patrons had the
opportunity to meet and talk with the honoree, Harrison Steans, and
the speaker, James Cuno. There was also a general reception for
the other guests.
