Guild
Hall's Academy of the Arts honored Candice Bergen, Ken Auletta,
Jennifer Bartlett and Donald Zucker at their 24th Annual Lifetime Achievement
Awards at Cipriani 42nd Street in NYC on March 2, 2009. Emceed
by Academy Award winning screenwriter Marshall Brickman, the evening
paid tribute to their work in Performing Arts, Literary Arts, Visual
Arts and Leadership and Philanthropic Endeavors, respectively, and
raised over $375, 000 to support Guild Hall's mission of celebrating
the artistic spirit in eastern Long Island.
Past honorees, friends, family and supporters of Guild Hall's
Academy of the Arts including Alec Baldwin, Bethenny Frankel, Academy
of the Arts president Roy Furman and his wife Frieda Furman, Guild
Hall chairman Mickey Straus and his wife Leila Straus, Guild Hall's
executive director Ruth Appelhof, Somers Farkas, Richard and Renee
Steinberg, Frances Hayward, SALONTEA founder Tracy Stern, Sharon Bush,
Academy of the Arts co-chairs Pamela and Edward Pantzer and their son
Jason with his wife Tricia, who serve as Junior Patron co-chairs with
Ashu and Vinayak Singh, Josh Gladstone, Kate Mueth, Elaine Sargent,
Dr. Kevin Plancher, interior designers Rona Landman and Elbi Askin,
Bob and Helen Appel, and Cindy Guyer were all on hand to congratulate
the honorees and show their continued support for Guild Hall.
