On Tuesday, October 27, Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield was transformed by the Central Park Conservancy’s Halloween Ball, a black-tie benefit with dining, dancing, and a festive costume contest.
The event highlight was a costume contest for best man, best woman, best couple and best group costumes. Luxury prizes were furnished by The Plaza Hotel and The Shops at The Plaza. Judges included Tory
Burch, Lois Chiles, Harold Koda, Marina Rust and Todd
Alexander Romano. WABC’s Lee Goldberg was the emcee.
Event chairmen were Suzanne and Bob
Cochran. Co-chairmen were Judy and John
M. Angelo, Kristy and Jonathan Korngold, Patricia and Shane
Krige, John Stossel, Anita and Stuart Subotnick, Patsy
and Jeff Tarr, and Julie Wurts. Junior
co-chairs were Jennie Tarr Coyne, Kipton Cronkite, Corrente Schankler
and Amy Tarr. Honorary junior chairmen were Susan
Shin and Dawne Marie Grannum. The honorary committee included Penn Jillette, Tea Leoni, Isabella
Rossellini, Meredith Vieira and George C. Wolfe.
