On
September 9, the Biennale des Antiquaires held a Soirée
Gala for the benefit of the Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris Hôpitaux
de France at the Grand Palais in Paris. Profits from the evening
will be wholly donated to the Fondation des Hôpitaux de Paris – Hôpitaux
de France, a foundation chaired by Madame Jacques
Chirac.
Organized by the Syndicat National des Antiquaires (SNA
- French National Union of Antique Dealers) since the original event
in 1956, the 24th Biennial took place from September 11 – 21,
2008, at the Grand Palais in Paris. The Biennale features a wide
range of work presented by internationally acclaimed professionals
in the fields of Antiques, the Fine Arts and Jewellery. They are
all SNA members and are selected from the world's finest antique
and art dealers.
