On
Monday, November 17, the American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic
(AFIPO) held a gala benefit evening in New York. A sell-out
crowd at Carnegie Hall witnessed an electrifying performance of the

Dudamel, featuring violinists Pinchas Zukerman and Nitzan
Bartana, with two encores!
At the gala dinner, held at the Waldorf-Astoria, nearly 700 guests
dined and danced in the festively decorated Grand Ballroom.
Lily Safra was Patron Gala chairman, and the co-chairmen
were Patricia Cisneros and Gustavo Cisneros and
Elaine Wolfensohn and James Wolfensohn. Jason
Hirsch, Jeffrey Hirsch, Jared Kushner and Jillian
Merns were Associates Gala chairmen.
