On
Monday, May 18, 2009 American Ballet Theatre hosted the 69th Annual
Spring Gala at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. The
Gala evening featured a performance from ABT's world-renowned dancers
from the Company's eight-week season. Following the performance,
a Gala dinner was served under the Tent at Lincoln Center where guests
enjoyed dinner and dancing. $1.5 Million was raised for American
Ballet Theatre.
Anne Grauso, Caryn Zucker, Henri Barguirdjian, Florence Sloan, and
Ashley McDermott were event chairs. President Barack Obama and Mrs.
Michelle Obama, Carolina Herrera, Caroline Kennedy, Blaine Trump and
Renee Zellweger were honorary chairs.
